Antibody Development

Antibody Development provides Consortium investigators with custom designed monoclonal and recombinant (scFv) antibodies.  Intact monoclonal antibodies are produced via traditional hybridoma technology while recombinant antibodies are produced via phase display technology.   Use of both of these technologies has permitted the identification of antibodies useful for traditional biochemical, cell biological and immunological characterization of protein antigens, the creation of DNA vaccines, as well as high throughput technologies userful for identification of antibodies directed to non-immunogenic peptide antigens as well as biomarker discovery (scFv antibody arrays).  Services include design of antigens, immunization and screening strategies; hybridoma cell line production and optimization; cloning, expression and engineering of single chain antibody variable fragments.
