Pilot Award Applications due March 5, 2018

Cancer Consortium investigators may apply for pilot awards and/or New Investigator support of up to $80,000 direct, plus corresponding facilities and administratative costs. The RFAs, along with additional details about each funding mechanism can be found under Funding Opportunities.

Each year, the Cancer Center Support Grant provides nearly $1M to support interdisciplinary cancer research collaborations and the developing research programs of new Consortium investigators.

These pilot awards are a crucial mechanism to address Cancer Center priorities, and 1 pilot grant each will be targeted to global oncology research, health disparities research, and cross-disciplinary translational research.

New Investigator funds support junior and newly recruited investigators (within the last 3 years) to assist them in establishing a cancer research program within the Consortium. These funds are dedicated for investigators who do not already have independent research funding and need staff, regulatory or application preparation support, or other functions related to getting a productive research program up and running.
